H J WOOD OF BURSLEM, ENGLAND...COLORFUL PITCHER For auction is a stunning example of handwork from the H. J. Wood of the Alexandra Pottery in Burslem, England. The H J Wood stamp on this piece indicates that this is c1948+. This wonderful piece is splashed with brilliant colors. It has a creamy white interior. The piece is glazed throughout. If you take a close look inside the pitcher you can see a couple of spots w the artist accidentally touched the clay and left a smudge of the black rim paint. A great testament to the hand craftsmanship. It stands 7" tall and is 6 1/2" across at the widest point from the edge of the handle to the lip of the spout. This is in LIKE NEW condition. T are no chips, cracks, or crazing anyw on the piece. It does not look like this piece was ever used. This gorgeous piece would add a cheerful alure to any decor. Don't let this one pass you by!
