No inscription, bookplate to front paste down otherwise clean throughout. Includes a clippingfrom the Radio Times 21st August 1969 previewing a BBC2 adaptation of the book. The author's account of his concentrated duel with a beautiful hawk during its training. It is a record of an intense clash of wills in which the pride and endurance of the wild raptor are worn down by the almost insane willpower of the schoolmaster falconer.
