We now hold the posters in place with magnets (so we do not have to attach the poster to the wall in any way), which are small and round and resemble "push pins", but we assure you they are NOT! If an image has a black background, know that the odd circles in the edges of the item are magnets that hold it in place, and are NOT a defect! 4 1955 Re-release Vintage Theater-Used Chapter #1 ("The City of Gold") Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") from Black Arrow, the 1944 B. Reeves Eason & Lew Landers Native American Indian cowboy western serial ("Flaming serial action thunders out of the West!") starring Robert E. Scott, Adele Jergens, Robert Williams, and Kenneth MacDonald Important Added Info: Note that the poster says "A COLUMBIA SERIAL REPRINT" in the bottom center. This was a terminology used by Columbia Pictures at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This poster is the original poster from the 1955 re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! Also note that only 4 lobby cards were produced for this movie, and this is the complete set. It was quite common for studios to only make sets of four for short subjects or low budget movies, because it allowed them to print the sets at half the cost, and on shorts and low budget movies, they tried to save money any way they could (especially since it is likely few theaters even botd to order lobby cards for these titles, since they were likely shown in addition to a better movie). Overall Condition: very good or better. Want to know more about the condition of this item? This lobby card (or cards) is in "very good or better" condition! This item likely has some minor defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right (the extent of the minor defects determines whether it is in "very good" or "very good to fine" or "fine" condition; we never grade any item over "fine" condition). We feel that this item would be acceptable to most collectors, but if you are condition conscious (or if you would be botd by small defects that are not easily discernable from our larger images) then you should not bid on this item. Note that we were consigned a large collection of older (pre-1970) lobby card sets that were actually used in theaters, and most have either pinholes, staple holes, or tape in the corners. We have NOT noted this when t are just a few tiny pinholes in the corners of the cards, so if this would bother you, you should not bid on this item. If you are like most collectors, and are forgiving of minor defects, then we think you will likely be happy with all items we grade "very good or better"! Lobby Cards measure 11" x 14" and were almost always printed in sets of 8 (some lower budget movies only had a set of 4).
