HALAS BY HALLAS - George Halas Autobiography with dustjacket Signed by George Halas. Also signed by Sid Luckman, greatest Bears quarterback, Bill Osmanski, Joe Osmanski, and Jack Brickhouse, longtime announcer for the Bears. .The book is in excellent condition; the dustacket has some slight yellowinbg and 3 small tears. It has been shelved carefully in a smoke free home. A great addition to any book collection for any NFL football fan describing the beginning of the NFL. As a side note, George Halas was supposed to be on the Eastland ship that rolled over at the dock in the Chicago River - over 800 people died in the disaster - fortunately for professional football, he was late and didn't get on the ship.
