Halcyon Days Enamels Round Pill Box Christmas Tree NIBHalcyon Days Enamels are direct descendants of the rare and beautiful enamels of 18th-century England. They are made by craftsmen in Bilston, the traditional Georgian center of enamelling on copper. Prized by collectors all over the world both as tokens of taste and sentiment and as small works of art with acknowledged investment value, they are the antiques of tomorrow.This round pill or trinket box measures 1 1/4" in diameter and is about 1 1/8" high. It is red on the outside, white inside, and has gold trim. On the cover is a Christmas tree inside a 6-pointed star which has a red bow at the top. Inside the cover is a line drawing of a doll sitting on a wrapped gift. A drum is next to the gift.The bottom is marked with an elongated wreath with a crown at the open top. Inside the wreath is, "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Halcyon Days Ltd., London, Halcyon Days Enamels, England, Bilston & Battersea Enamels Revival." Inside the box is printed in gold a crown with, "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen, Halcyon Days Ltd., London, Suppliers of Objets D'Art."This is new in the box and includes a little booklet with some fascinating information about this craft.
