Item 100% original. Half of Dog Tag were found together with dead german soldier near by city Stalingrad (Volgograd now), in Russia. This place is the most great battle field at WWII period! Item are in good shape! Made from zink (see actual photo's). Looks better than on pictures. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! On mobilization of the German Armed Forces in August 1939 all personnel were issued an identification, (dog), tag to be worn on a cord around the neck. Following the outbreak of WWII all new recruits were issued a dog tag on their registration for military service. If killed or wounded half of the dog tag would stay attached to the individual and the other half would be sent to the appropriate administrative offices for processing.
