This is a beautiful "HALL" Illinois teapot that is maroon in color with a gold floral design around the top and is edged in gold. This teapot has a gold floral pattern going around the top area with a band of gold around w the design stops, gold around the top, around the opening of the spout, around the outer edge of the lid, around the inner part of the lid w the knop handle is and t is the same gold, floral pattern on the lid and on the very top of the knop handle t is a little band of gold going around it. On the inside of the pot w the spout is, t is little holes (strainer) at the area w the liquid goes out the spout and this is by design, it has a nice handle on the side and a spout on the other side. T is a lip around the bottom of the lid that fits into the top of the teapot and t is a hole in the top of the lid to let steam escape. This teapot stands 6 to 6 1/4 inches tall (with the lid on), it is 8 5/8 inches wide across the teapot from edge of spout to edge of handle and it holds 4 cups of liquid. This pot is marked on the bottom, "HALL", "O253", "6 CUP", "MADE IN U.S.A.". I purchased this teapot at an estate sale and it is in excellent condition. T are no chips, cracks or damage to this teapot or lid, it is in excellent condition. If you have questions please ask before bidding. Thanks for looking!!
