HALL POTTERY SILHOUETTE MEDALLION PATTERN LIDDED CASSEROLE LARGE 3 Qt.? This is a great Large HALL POTTERY Casserole complete with lid in the SILHOUETTE or MEDALLION Pattern. This pattern was made around 1935 and is now discontinued. It is the larger casserole which I believe is a 3 quart or close to it. It stands 4 3/4" tall (including the lid) and is 9 1/4" across. It is a wonderful ivory color with the famous black center design of two gentlemen seated in a taverne or inn. It is accented with silver trim. The silver is in relatively good condition and shows only minor wear. On the bottom is the gold Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware Stamp. The overall condition of the casserole is very nice especially for its age. The only crazing I found was around the outer edge of the inside of the lid. T is a glaze crack under the g laze on the inside (shown in the photo). It has been used and has some minor discoloration around the inside edge of the casserole. T are no chips or repairs. The picture of the lid shows the grazing around the interior edges. That is NOT a chip in the lid. It appears to be an intentional indention. We are assuming this may be to let steam out or something. It was definitely done during the manufacturing process and is not a chip or damage.
