If you are looking for a cabinet for your Hallicrafters S-36A, this is it! This cabinet is straight, no dents, and includes the four original rubber feet. The hinged top panel works fine. The finish is not great, but the pics look worse than it is, especially the parts on the sides that have been lightly sanded. Someone has re-painted it in the past, and if I were going to keep it I would strip that paint off. Please note - t is an area, which does not show in the pics, along the top front, w it is possible that the re-paint covers up old rust pits. This could also just be someone's attempt to do a crinkle or wrinkle finish. Other Hallicrafters radios will fit into this cabinet, but it is the right case for only the S-36A and possibly the S-36 and S-27 and some of the RBK series. It is not quite right for the RBK-15 but could be adapted if you wanted to cut out some of the slots in back. Lots of other old radios could also fit this cabinet. IT IS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE R-390 OR AN SP-600!!! The clear width of the front opening is17-3/8 inches, and the clear height of the front opening is 8-1/2 inches except w the little tab sticks down for the top screw.
