T's a tap at the door, the delivery man gets his signature, and suddenly the infamous leg lamp makes its debut in A Christmas Story. The whole family gathers around the unwieldly crate as Mr. Parker reads the words on its side: "Fra-GEE-Lay. It sounds Italian!" Mr. Parker seems oblivious to his family's shocked reactions as he lifts the precious cargo from its packing material. This is it - stiletto, fishnet stocking, gaudy fringe, and all, it's just what he has been dreaming of - a Major Award!
