New Hampshireand Vermont This is an attractive antique map of New Hampshire and Vermont which is over 135 years old . It was published in 1874 in Mitchell’s New General Atlas , and features original handcoloring done at that time. It is on a sheet measuring slightly over 12 x 15 inches in size, with the map image surrounded by an appealing ornate border. The map is in Fine condition. T is a credit line printed in very small script in the left corner below the map which says: “Entered according to the Act of Congress in the year 1874 by S. Augustus Mitchell in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington.” It also bears an engraver's credit line saying: “Drawn and Eng'd by W. H. Gamble.” The page is blank on its backside. The map is drawn to a scale of approximately 16 miles to the inch. It shows the separate counties of the two states delineated in different pastel colors, and shows the railroad lines then crisscrossing Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as numerous place names. (E.g.--it identifies over two dozen towns in Vermont's Orange County.)************** SHIPPING / HANDLING TERMS: Add a flat $ 4.95 for delivery by 1st Class Mail anyw in the U.S. Pennsylvania residents, add 6% tax.
