Christmas shopping -Start early and get done early. Try to do most online (whether eBay “ Glennis Alexandra’s World ” or another site, preferably mine)-it will save you the headache of the malls and crowds. *A small note for those that are a little squeamish about purchasing pre-owned clothing and shoes. Most Sellers will have already cleaned the item. Look closely at pictures and descriptions and read Sellers’ feedback. Know your measurements and ask questions. Just think about all the items sitting in your closet that you just weren’t comfortable in or wore only one time. We are all like that! So before you say “yuck-pre-owned”, give it some thought-you will save SO much money. Get creative -You don’t have to spend a lot of money on gifts. The packaging is just as important (uh huh, sure it is). Wrap in plain brown or white paper and put your own decorations or pictures (from magazines/newspapers). Depending on whom it’s for, tie it with candy, old pictures of them, ornaments and other small gifts. Buying something they can’t use until next summer? - Put a water toy, sunglasses (you get where I’m going) on the package or wrap in a beach towel. Also it’s fun to give something they can’t use until later. They’ll thank you all over again 6 months after Christmas and you’ll probably find you’ll get more of a savings on it now.
