Hand Drawn and Lettered Map of Chesapeake Bay Prints Signed in Pencil by the Artist/Cartographer Howard Handlen It is rare that anything can be said to be one of a kind. But this is precisely what a map created by Howard Handlen is - as it has been drawn and lettered entirely by hand by the noted artist cartographer Howard Handlen of Neo//Classical Maps. While completely accurate in its geography, this map is not intended to substitute for the wonderful modern maps of Rand MacNally and the other mapmakers. It is instead designed primarily as a work of graphic art, to be shown framed and hung in home or office. Each map is a limited edition print with an edition size of 750 and created from an original drawing done in pen and ink, watercolor and/or other media, numbered and signed in pencil by the artist. The map is printed on 65# cover weight paper. Mr. Handlen offers one more thing that most mapmakers cannot. He will be glad to personalize the map for you by lettering in the name of a location that might not be on it and/or putting in a dedication in pencil below the border you might wish to have - e.g., for John Smith or something of the kind.
