Hand Forged Cable Damascus knife Hand forged from work hardened cable, carbon steel. 9" over all, 5 1/2" blade. Look at photo 3 and you can see the point is drawn back about 2 1/2" on the top edge. Differentially hand tempered, very hard. No etch, and a light oil coat. The scale pattern to the steel does not show in my photo but it is a clean cable pattern. It is very clear in the light but the blade has been polished. If you want the pattern to show darkly it will need to be acid treated, or just use it and watch it come out naturally.
