The blade is CS1045 carbon steel with a blood groove (also known as a fuller) that runs the entire length. The blade is also hand sharpened. The tsuba features a Bamboo design. The wooden black lacquered saya features brass inlaid flowers and is wrapped with Japanese cotton sageo.
