This turn of the century wooden duck is completely original, it appears to have been industrially made, but t is no mark or logo on it, so it might have been a home craft project. The body is made of one bole of wood. It has been sectioned at the front to allow the insertion of the axle and cam that move the head up and down as the wheels turn. The wheels are also sections of a slightly larger branch, as is the smaller tail wheel. The duck has been handpainted in bright orange and red colors with black pinstriping. T is an age crack in the left wheel that can be secured. The string is missing, otherwise this is in exactly the same condition as the last time it was played with. The duck is about eight inches long bill to tail wheel, four inches exterior tread at the wheels, and five and one-half inches tall.
