2005 ANGEL Li Bien Ornament with 3 1/4" diameter. Bright, colorful, fun hand-painted ornament.The Li Bien ornaments are known for their quality and uniqueness. Every year a small number of new ornament designs are offered and once the holiday season is over they are retired. Each ornament has a date painted on them too so this makes them very recognized collectible ornaments. Many of the older ornaments are extremely hard to find.Li Bien means "inside". The painting on the glass ornament is delicately done through a tiny hole in the hand blown glass and from the inside of the ornament. This style of painting has been a respected Chinese Art for over 200 years. The process requires a great deal of skill since the image must be created in reverse. Each ornament is unique, no two are exactly alike.The ornament comes with a product card that describes how these ornaments are produced. The ornament also comes in a box covered with fabric and a cord loop fastener that secures the lid shut. Bottom has some wear. Ref to picture.Posted with eBay Mobile
