~ Early Hand Painted & Figural Oil Lamp ~ 19th Century Hand Painted & Figural Oil Lamp Very Fine example of an early Hand Painted & Figural kerosene lamp that has undergone conversion, but could easily be returned to a kerosene operation. The globe has a wonderful color floral pattern and the stem features a full figural in metal. The figural metal has wonderful original patina and has not been cleaned or polished. This includes an old brass finial on top of the harp. Measures 25" tall to the top of the finial. Condition: The lamp is complete and is from an estate, so it has been used. T is some gilding loss, especially on the top of the globe. T is also some discoloration on the top of the glose. The floral pattern has no paint loss, but again, some gilding loss and t The globe is not chipped or cracked. T is no noticeable damage to the figural, in original patina. Metal base is flat black and solidly attached to stem. Although this operates fine, we recommend that every lamp we offer be checked for needed electrical maintenance and rewiring when necessary.
