This is a completely handcrafted kaleidoscope. It is of my own design. The woods used are african mahogany, walnut, maple, and padauk. The smooth turning, side lit object chamber contains lamp worked glass, cut glass, faceted stones, bits of opal, and hand picked natural colored shells. The images are very colorful and dimensional. They are suspended in oil. The mirror system is a traditional three mirror image, using quality first surface mirror. The scope has a magnifying lens that enhances the crisp bold colored images. You look into the bottom and turn the roof to rotate the chamber. T is no shortage of colors. It is app 13" tall x 3.25 in dia. this is a quality finely crafted scope that will add to your collection or make a fine gift. The scope is signed and dated by myself, the artist.
