As always, all works offered by Comfortably Southern are one-of-a-kind originals designed and handcrafted freehand from scratch by me, the creating artist. My Aeolian harps are some of my favorite and most satisfying works to create as an artist. Also known as Wind Harps or Angel Harps, this amazing musical instrument has been around since the mid-1600's. Very popular with Kings and Royalty of the Period, this facinating instrument plays all by itself when placed in an open window sill on a windy day - making a variety of pleasant and "ghostly" sounds in varying tones and octaves when a nice natural breeze passes over the strings. I design and handcraft my wind harps by hand and completely out of wood - right down to the tuning keys and bridges - just like they would have made them back in the 1600's. As beautiful to look at as they are to listen to, you won't find a more unique, quality gift for yourself or that Special Someone that's hard to shop for anyw on e-Bay at such a low opening bid price. I take great care with all my original creations to ensure that each and every one is a unique, one-of-a-kind quality piece that will certainly gain in collectable value well beyond purchase price over the years to come as a genuine work of authentic original American Folk Art.
