Antique hand-wrought solid copper, highly detailed serving bowl from Turkey. Handmade solid copper detailed serving bowl that dad bought from an antiques dealer in Ankara Turkey sometime between 1970-1973 when he was stationed at the air base t Handcrafted of solid copper with some nice patina to it. You won't see this in any pottery barn catalog. This thing is huge it is about 10.5 inches in diameter and about 2 inches deep. Weighs in at 2lbs of solid copper. Has wall hanging tab added to back. Do not miss out on this one-of-a-kind piece. This is a museum quality example of Persian metalworking, age unknown. Obviously very old, but I couldn't hazard a guess as I am not an expert in Middle Eastern art. The handiwork on this is amazing in detail. While aquired in Turkey I am unsure of original origen. Very nice, hand made engravings. You will never see anything like this again; a true one-of -a-kind object. SOLID COPPER HAND MADE Bowl a steal at the listing price...Bottom is slightly dented and bowl is not perfectly round, this object has a very high pure copper content and is one of the softest pieces in the collection.
