Handmade Horn Sewing Needle Case This needle case will be an elegant addition to your needlework basket or housewife, even for the guys in their haversacks. Each is 4 1/4" long when the cap is in place and will accommodate needles or sewing awls over 2 inches long. The lid screws securely in place, with a hole drilled thru the top, so the needle case can be placed on a chatelaine or tied into your sewing case for safe keeping. In the photo the top 2 are wood, the bottom middle one is made of natural cow horn (shown with the lid off and the needles inside. They are mainly the dark to black cowhorn,and made from using the thick dense part of the tips. These are the same size and shape as the wooden sewing needle cases we have offered.
