Made by the Italian manufacture,Visconti,whose reputation is world class,this Visconti Renaissance Deco fountain pen is a treasure.To my knowledge is hasn't been distributed by Visconti in some time,adding to the collectability of the pen. The beautiful,marbleized pen is predominantly navy with wisps of seemingly embedded white layers which present themselves at differring intensities depending on the light.This pretty navy covers the cap,section and blind cap at the end of the barrel. Filling is easy with the permanently enclosed converter which is displayed for use by unscrewing the blind cap . The pen is 5.25-5.5 inches closed. 7 or 8 vertical,sterling stripes separate the balance of the barrel from the beautiful,small and consistent deco design. The sterling clip says ( extremely small) beside the word Visconti :"1425 fi/Ag925. The nib is medium and says: "Visconti/14k-585/Firenze/Mom S Italy". This pen has been in my collection for several years and is still in good shape,above average ++.The only thing I see are some scratches on the clip,which are not bad.Otherwise,the pen looks and writes beautifully.
