Hardy Boys-The Shore Road Mystery w/ DJ 1928A-1 Printing-TRUE FIRST Book number 6 in the Hardy Boys series-The Shore Road Mystery. This is the hard to find 1928 true first printing. Front flap of Brodart protected jacket lists to Shore Road, back flap lists 8 Don Sturdys and back of jacket has 10 Books for Boys titles. The reverse side of the jacket lists tons of Grosset titles in GREEN ink including 31 Tom Swift titles. Dustjacket is in very, very nice condition for it's age. Top of spine has some paper loss but affects none of the lettering, while the bottom of the spine has light wear (including a past owner neatly writing the number '6' over the original number in black ink). As expected, the spine is darkened some but the red Hardy shield is still t and not as faded as many I have seen. Front of the jacket with good color has some light wear along the top edge, including a one inch closed vertical tear just to the right of the 's' in "Boys". Super light wear along the bottom edge and one tiny,tiny vertical tear. Some light soiling/wear on flap folds (with some light paper loss at the tops). The jacket flaps and the back of the jacket are in great condition, with just a tiny amount of wear on the edges. The bright red true first printing book is in outstanding condition.
