This is the teacup in the Harlequin line made by the Homer Laughlin China Company from 1938 through 1964. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and it has good yellow color and glaze although applied a little heavily so that it slightly obscures the band of rings. Harlequin was made exclusively for the F. W. Woolworth Company and was a thinner, less expensive version of the Fiesta line being made by Laughlin at the same time. It utilized most of the same colors as the Fiesta line with some others added or changed slightly. The teacup and yellow color were part of the line from the beginning and both continued to be made throughout. This vintage Harlequin teacup is not marked and is 2 3/4" high, 3 9/16" in diameter at the top and 4 3/4" across including the handle.
