This auction is for a Santee Electic Start Wrap-Around Oil Tank for 1967 to 1978 Sporters with electric start option. This tank is marked as used only becouse I took it out of the package and fit it in my 75 sporty. I took it back out becouse I did'nt care for the look after all and decided to keep the original tank instead. This tank has never seen a drop of motor oil...When I was fitting it I did bump the front of the tank into the rear cylinder head and the rear frame tube...tight fit!...so t is tiny hair line scuffs on the front of tank a..hardly visable and a few equal scuffs plus a tiny chip on the rear of the tank, which is hidden by the bike frame...I've had the tank kicking around the basement for a couple of years now so ts a little surface rust inside the battery box of the tank as seen in photos. This tank is in great condition otherwise and includes all the mounting hardware and fittings plus the oil fill cap, all of which is chromed! Also a mounting/fitting placement diagram is included. This tank new cost me over $230.00 so I'll start the bidding at $50.00...Very nice!! Factory Specs: These 3 1/2 quart oil tanks will accept the stock FXE electric start battery.
