This is a Harley-Davidson 1981 Gerber Limited Edition Model 525 commemorative knife marking the return of private ownership of the motor company. The blade has beautiful engraving (see pic's). It has a contoured wood handle and is trimmed in, I believe, stainless steel with brass spacers. This knife has never been carried, used or sharpened. It is in excellant condition. Auction includes a furniture quality wood display box lined with a black felt like material. The box has the HD bar and shield cut into the top. T is a water stain on the box (see pic's). These were limited to a total of 3,000 knives. In the 2001 edition of "Levines Guide to Knife Values" this knife was worth $750.00! This is a very beautiful highly collectable HD Gerber knife.
