HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES OF THE 1980'S and 1990's These are two Harley-Davidson wall plaque/shadow boxes featuring the classic motorcycles of the 80's and 90's. Previously available only through the Holiday Heritage Collections, a Harley dealer promotion in 2007 and 2008, customers had to spend $300.00 at a Harley dealership to receive one; now all you have to do is win this auction and receive two! They are coming to you from Victoria Harley-Davidson in Victoria, Texas. The featured motorcycles in the 1980 collectible include: a 1980 FLT, a 1986 FLST, a 1981 FLH, a 1983 XR 1000, and a 1980 FXB. It also has a paragraph plate reading: The 1980's can be regarded as the most pivotal decade in Harley-Davidson history. As the Motor Company returned to independence, the motorcycle line grew and improved dramatically. New features were developed that carry forward today, such as belt final drive and the Softail frame. The Evolution engine, introduced in 1984, brought improved performance and reliability over its predecessor, the Shovelhead. The decade began with Willie G. Davidson designing the 1980 FXB Sturgis on a restaurant napkin and closed with a host of new motorcycles that never forgot w they came from. The featured motorcycles in the 1990 collectible include: a 1991 Sturgis, a 1994 Road King, a 1995 Bad Boy, a 1997 Heritage Springer, 1998 Road Glide. The paragraph plate reads: The 1990's brought a large and diverse line of H-D motorcycles. The first Dyna model was the 1991 FXDB Sturgis. The first Road King was introduced in 1994, this was a versatile motorcycle that functioned equally as well as a city cruiser or a cross-country touring bike. The 1995 FXSTSB Bad Boy, a sportier Softail model in blacked-out steel, gave the revived "springer" front end a new twist. Few motorcycles have had the vintage look of the 1997 FLSTS Springer Softail, a design straight out of 1947. The 1998 FLTRI Road Glide frame-mounted fairing heralded H-D's 95th anniversary while carrying on the bloodlines of the FLT series. H-D was back on top, thanks in part to the most passionate customers in the world. The frame of the shadow boxes have a satin black finish with brushed silver corner finishes. The overall dimensions of the pieces are 25'' tall x 12''wide x 2'' deep. When measuring through the glass each motorcycle measures less than 5 inches in length from back to front wheel. Item is in original packaging. Complete with a Victoria Harley-Davidson name plate at the bottom. HARLEY-DAVIDSON TRIPLE TANK SET Only available through a dealer promotion in 2004, 2005, and 2006, customers had to spend $500.00 to receive one; now all you have to do is win this auction to receive three! All tank sets are coming to you from Victoria Harley-Davidson in Victoria, Texas. They are all brand new in original packaging. The 1st tank set includes a 1960 Duo-Glide, a 1977 Low Rider, a 1980 Wide Glide, a 1990 Fat Boy, and a 2003 100th Anniversary tank. The 2nd tank set includes a 1933 Silver and Turquoise, a 1937 Teak Red with Black Striping, a 1955 Hollywood Green, a 1962 Hi-Fi Purple with White Panels, and a 1992 Indigo Blue Metallic and Gold Pearlglo tank. The 3rd tank set includes a Venetian Blue and Silver, a 1940 Flight Red with Black Stripe, a 1957 Skyline Blue with Birch White, a 1986 Blackberry and Silver (Liberty Edition), and a 1989 Vivid Black tank. All tank sets come with ornament hooks and can be used as Christmas ornaments, or just left in the shadow-box case to hang on a wall.
