Harold MacComber Nesmith, American Impressionist, 1859-1935 Long Island Vista OIl on Board Art: 13 1/2" x 17 1/2" Framed: 19" x 23" Signed lower right A beautiful painting of Long Island Harold MacComber Nesmith was born in Brooklyn, New York and studied at the Art Students League. He exhibited widely and had shows at the Brooklyn Art Association, National Academy of Design, Salons of American, The Society of Independent Artists among many others. He was known for his Long Island scenes of which this is a wonderful example. He had studios in Rosyln, LI, NY and maintained a home in Brooklyn. He died in 1935 at his summer studio in Rosyln.
