Hartstone Experimental Rutile Scroll Pattern Dinner SET Description : Hi and thank you for looking at my auction!I have collected Hartstone for many years, including sets of dinnerware. The following 15 piece set is unused, individually wrapped, and stored, until today. This morning, I unwrapped a huge box of dinnerware. This set would be very special for the upcoming holidays.Prior to the original Hartstone closing, a pattern called Rutile was produced, but not for very long. The glaze is what made the piece, very simple, but with a bold drippy glaze in pieces ranging in color from bieges, browns, and even blue on black pieces.The pattern listed goes one step further and definitely one of a kind experimental set... Hartstone used the very early Scroll pattern mold with the Rutile glaze on top. The Scroll pattern featured heavily raised border of grapes and vines all around it, but with a deep gold background. This experimental set has a very neutral off white base, but with the beige/cream drip glaze all around the border. Very elegant and in absolutely mint condition. The mugs, serving bowl and the pumpkin serving piece with lid are Rutile and altogether makes a beautiful place setting! Please do not be fooled by the pictures, as they do not do this set justice!
