My grandchildren have inherited a collection of buttons, badges and other interesting items. They do not want them and would rather have cash so I will be putting them on auction. We have taken a bit of advice as to identification (plus what was written on the cards they are attached to) and pricing - apparently there are some very good things amongst the collection, so if you like these sorts of things - please keep a lookout as I put things on. If you would like any other pictures or details (although I have tried my best to describe them) then please email me. NB As far as we are aware, all the badges, button and etc are proper old ones. - But please be certain before you bid, as we do not want to have arguments once they are sold. - As stated above, I will do my very best to provide any other pictures etc that you may require, if asked in good time. These are offered as seen, and as I am making very good descriptions etc, there are no refunds/returns - I want all buyers to be 100% sure before bidding, which is why I welcome any requests for extra pictures or other details BEFORE making a final bid. An Art Nouveau hatpin made by the famous Charles Horner and assayed at Chester The head is made from solid silver and set with a clear stone (citrine?) in a stylized thistle shape. The pin section is strong and is made from magnetic material The head measures approximately 2 cm by 2 cm at widest points and the 'pin' part is 15 cm long. In very good condition NB. In order to compare metric and imperial sizes - 2.5 cm is approximately equivalent to 1 imperial inch. PLEASE READ THE STANDARD TERMS OF SALE BELOW. 'Post and packing' charges will be very reasonable, but I'd ask buyers to consider that 'p&p' covers the actual costs of ;- stamps, bubble-envelopes, bubblewrap, wrapping tape, journeys made to and from the post office etc - (and not just the cost of a stamp....) In order to keep buyers' costs to a minimum, Standard p&p will be for 2nd class mail - All mail sent will be fully documented using official Royal Mail's 'Certificate of Proof of Posting' forms. If the value of an order is in excess of £41, then I will ONLY use 2nd class standard post, as above, IF the buyer sends me a statement to say that THEY will NOT make any claim against me (directly or through Ebay or Paypal) in the case of any alleged 'missing' or 'damaged' order... ....Otherwise, for order values in excessof £41, I will invoice for 'Special Delivery' at a total cost of £6.50, which will include insurance cover as is required by paypal . Standard Airmail to European Union will be £2.00* Standard Airmail to Rest of World will be £3.00* * By accepting these two tafifs (£2, £3) Overseas Buyers will agree that orders sent using these charges will NOT be insured, and NO responsibilty will be taken by me for any alleged 'loss' or damage that may be claimed once I have passed the packet into Royal Mail hands. Documented proof will ALWAYS be obtained by me to prove that Royal Mail accepted the package - that is where my resposibility will end... If any overseas buyer DOES want a packet to be insured (and so therefore provide the mechanism for any potential claim for loss or damage to be entered against me) then I will invoice for 'Royal Mail Airsure' at the relevant insurance level - Please bear in mind that any such insured packet will have the full value of the contents printed on the customs label...
