Offered for auction is this great Haviland Limoges Bouillon Cup & Saucer in Schleiger 39D. This version of Schleiger 39 employs the Star blank with a double gold edge. These examples of 39D (I have 2 other bouillon sets) have deep pink colors. The cup measures 3 3/4" in diameter and the saucer measures 5 1/2" across. Both pieces are in good condition - no chips or cracks and the gold is in great shape except for for minor wear on the inside lip of the cup, which is typical for such applied gold on cups. The backmarks are the green Haviland France whiteware mark (1891-1930) a nd the decorator mark is the brick red Haviland & Co. Limoges .
