1950-51 Hawaii Calls, Lot of 5 Vintage Radio Scripts, Webley Edwards, Hawaii Calling! VINTAGELOT 5 HAWAII CALLS RADIO SCRIPTS WEBLEY EDWARDS On the air from 1935 to 1975, Hawaii Calls was a beloved weekly radio program which greatly enhanced the idyllic wonderland image of Hawaii in the minds of many listeners. Usually broadcast from the Courtyard of the Moana Hotel on Waikiki Beach, the program was hosted by Webely Edwards (1902-1977) whose song lyrics were sang by such signers as Burl Ives and Don Ho and whose down-home radio personality proved popular enough to see him elected to the State Legislature. For your consideration is this vintage lot of 5 radio scripts, dating from 1950-51, for the popular radio show Hawaii Calls. The dates are as follows: - Saturday, September 30, 1950 (6 pages), - Saturday, January 6, 1951 (5 pages), - Saturday, March 10, 1951 (7 pages), - Saturday, March 24, 1951 (5 pages). Condition notes: Very good. These 5 vintage radio scripts each measure 14 inches by 8 ½ inches, each stapled in the upper left corner. Each has a horizontal crease from folding. The overall tenor of this vintage lot of 1950s Hawaii Calls is Very good.
