A Hawksley "modified violin pattern", fluted neck with the body of tendrils surrounding a shield. Same design both sides. Ref:- Riling 550 variation without rings (rings are listed as optional extras to many patterns in various catalogues). This is a Hawksley pattern as per their catalogue p58, but unnamed in this instance. Before going further I realise condition is everything in respect of flasks. If you want better pictures or more detail please ask now rather than I send out the flask and have it returned. I have amassed several flasks over the years because I collect old flint and percussion guns. The flasks are incidental and come with some of the purchases. While attractive I don't actually collect them and am listing here simply to clear space. Brass fireproof or safety type top which unscrews for filling. Spring intact and works fine. The measure with 4 graduations 2¼, 2½, 2¾, 3 drams One or two tiny marks as you'd expect and what looks like a pellet mark on one shield face. Seam intact (I filled it with water just to be sure). One tiny flat to one edge and a barely detectable one to the base. All items shipped insured and signed for or tracked. Prices quoted for UK postage only. Internationally about £16.50
