WELCOME TO . . . PLANET EURODISCO Listen below to a sample of DANA VALERY and the ENGLISH VERSION of "T'EN VA PAS" (the 1963 Swiss entry at the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST). The original Eurovision singer ESTHER OFARIM is not known to have recorded her entry in English. Therefore this version by Dana is the only known original ENGLISH VERSION that was issued on 7" at the time ! You can also hear a sample of Dana Valery's ENGLISH VERSION of the 1964 Italian Eurovision winner "NON HO L'ETA PER AMARTI" which appears on the other side of the 7" single. Please note t he recordings on the video clip are taken from the exact 7" on auction but the versions on the 7" are of course longer than the shorter samples on the video. *** Both the front and back images of this 7" vinyl single showing A & B side labels along with the glossy picture print sleeve can be seen above and further down below. 1963 Switzerland (Cover version) DANA VALERY WOULD I LOVE YOU AGAIN ('T'EN VA PAS' - sung in ENGLISH) (This is the only known original ENGLISH version of the Swiss entry since the original 1963 Eurovision singer Esther Ofarim never recorded it in this language. ) & 1964 Italy (Cover version) DANA VALERY THIS IS M Y PRAYER ('NON HO L'ETA PER AMARTI' - sung in ENGLISH) (Original Eurovision winner GIGLIOLA CINQUETTI's English version was only recorded and released on her album in 1974. This version by Dana Valery is one of a few original ENGLISH VERSIONS that were issued on 7" in the original year back in 1964 ! ) WOULD I LOVE YOU AGAIN / THIS IS MY PRAYER Country Pressing = DECCA (UK ) Vinyl = Clean and shiny EXCELLENT (EX to near mint vinyl but minor signs of spindle wear on the record labels) Picture Sleeve = This UK 7" single was never originally issued in the UK with a picture sleeve. For my own collection I produced a high quality professional looking original colour scheme glossy hard card picture sleeve with images taken from a rare international release but I have specially redesigned it here with English titles, UK record label and cataalogue number for this UK 7". This is not a typical basic photocopy sleeve, it is a unique PHOTO QUALITY picture sleeve issued especially for this rare 7" I have on auction ! Remember, it was never issued with a picture sleeve in the UK back in 1964 so this is the first edition and as it's unique you're not going to find another one exactly like this one anywhere else! THE EXACT ITEMS AVAILABLE CAN BE SEEN ON THE CAMERA PHOTOS BOTH ABOVE AND BELOW Back in the eighties and nineties I was quite well known among many Eurovision collectors around the world as I always stocked a large selection of Eurovision records and CD's and during the nineties even arranged and financed the official release to press some of the more rare entries for wider availability to collectors. I provided a Discography and photos of all Eurovision releases in the UK for RECORD COLLECTOR magazine and provided recordings and worked to get clearance for tracks on an official UK Eurovision CD release issued by VIRGIN. Due to moving house my Eurovision vinyl has been in safe storage for almost a decade. I have recently acquired back the very last copies of my Eurovision vinyl stocks. In many cases I am down to my very last copy of each entry, especially those in mint condition and I now plan to sell everything over the upcoming months, so keep checking back each week for new additions to my listings.
