A p air of Hedi Schoop Asian female water pot carrying figures Fast shipping from a trusted dealer with over 1400 positive Feedback's! They are a beautiful green with white and gold gilding accents. There are four pieces in all, the two ladies and the two removable water pots. All of the four pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This set would mak e a lovely addition to any pottery collection, and a wonderful gift as well. Each figure's base measures 5" X 3 1/2" oval shape, and from the base to the end of the branch measures approx 8". The pots are 2 1/2" diameter and 2" high. The figures are signed on the bottom Hedi Schoop, Hollywood, Cal. Hedi Schoop, a dancer in Germany, was born in Switzerland and fled Nazi Germany in 1933 with her husband, a well-known composer, Frederick Hollander. They settled in Hollywood where she beganexperimenting first in plaster and later in pottery. She soon became one of Califoria's most respected manufacturers of ceramic products. Almost all the pieces produced at Schoop's North Hollywood factory were personally designed and modeled by Hedi. The most popular lines were the figurines of men and women.
