Here is a rich, spectacular medium sized original oil on board by Heinie Hartwig. “Yosemite Encampment” is a 13.75" x 19.5” gorgeous scenic piece set in an ornate gilt golden frame with final dimensions of 20.5" x 26.5" x 2.”Hartwig, born in California in 1937, taught himself to paint by studying the Old Masters and by the 1970s he had become a full-time artist. With an affinity for Western Art, Hartwig’s pieces are noted for their luminosity, color and romanticism of a bygone time. His works can be found in museums throughout the country and are much sought after at auction, including the famous C’oeur d’Alene Art Auction.
