Vintage Violin - 1913 Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr. Markneukirchen Copy of Joseph Guarnerius. Has all parts to make whole as shown in picture. Is in relatively good shape but I'll let you be the judge by pictures provided. This violin is as I found it and probably has not been played in years. Heinrich Th. Heberlein Jr's violins seem to be sought after by the musical community. I have been unsuccessful in tracking down any information for this 1913 model. I'm not an expert nor dealer. I have taken this violin to 3 seperate reputable shops in the St. Louis area. All agreed that it is a nice quality vintage violin in relatively good shape for its age. All pointed out the repair to face as can be seen in pictures.one said it would benefit from a cleat repair to the area below the tailpiece. All agreed that it would require 200 to 500 for seam repair, and general fixing to include strings to get the violin where it needs to be. Has mild seam seperation where chin rest attaches and opposite side which they said is expected and common. All agreed that the ebony pegs are in excellent shape with little wear. The body measures 14" with a one piece back. Please see pictures for further detail and condition.
