This is a hard to find, and elegant, Heisey Glass rooster head cocktail shaker in the etched Orchid pattern. This is not a marked piece but Heisey made the Orchid pattern from 1940 to 1957 but I don't think this piece was made for all of those years. This is three pieces with a shaker; a strainer and then the rooster stopper. The strainer and rooster were factory ground to fit perfectly in the shaker. To the tip top of the rooster the shaker stands 14.25 inches. I believe it holds 32 ounces but did not actually test it. The shaker and rooster stopper are in very good condition as I do not see any chips, nicks or scratches. The strainer does have a couple of chips so please see the pictures. This is really just a fabulous piece. It is perfect if you are a Heisey collector or a barware collector! I am sure you will treasure this!
