For your bidding pleasure we have another treasure from Aunt Ruby's Estate. Heisey Hawthorne Cream and Sugar set. I am told that is #406-407 Course Rib. Hawthorne was produced for one year only and are in limited supply. HAWTHORNE.... Hawthorne was first introduced in 1926. This color is found in several shades with this particular set being the lightest lavendar. Heisey ceased production in 1927 due to the inconsistency in the color. Hawthorne was the first attempt for the color now known as Alexandrite which remains a very coveted color for Heisey Collectors. The creamer measures 3 inches tall and is in excellent condition except for a minor chip in the handle. I have tried to get a close up picture, for it can be felt, but is difficult to see. The sugar bowl is in perfect condition and also measures 3 inches tall and 4.5 inches with the lid. They are both marked with the Heisey diamond, I took a picture but it is a little hard to make out unless you know what you are looking for. I am looking for a buyer who will appreciate these as much as Aunt Ruby did. She was a wonderful lady who liked the finer things. I had originally listed this set as Alexandrite and it was through the help from E-bay Heisey experts that I received my education on this item. I would like to thank these folks for their time and effort help me do read more
