Sturdy 400 to 450 size helicopter training gear pod. Each unit is hand made one at a time, built well and works great. I designed and built this myself because of all my crashes learning to try to fly, the cost of all my crashes and the fact that most of the training gear offered was junk. This set of training gear has 5 legs made out of 3/16 inch solid fiberglass rods for great flexibility and overall strength. The rods are long enough to protect blade tips and tail at an increased side, front or rear set down. The plastic balls on the end of the legs rotate to allow the pod to travel. The aluminum mounting plate swivels to allow orientation of the helicopter and to learn yaw travel while sitting on the ground. This design will absorb a lot of shock in the flexible legs to help avoid damage to your helicopter from hard set downs. These pods will catch most side ways, forward and backward potential crashes. These work really great for beginners learning to hover and the basic control movements of helicopter flying. These training pods cost less to buy once than the cost of most single crashes let alone several times over. I know a $5.00 to $10.00 training gear is really a poor investment trying to protect a $1,000.00 + helicopter. Mine do cost a little more but are worth the price and the added protection.
