This vintage hand saw looks like it is a cross-cut, but I am not sure. The medallion on the wooden handle shows a âeoekeystoneâe with what looks like an old fashion scale with the inscription: Disston USA. The blade is 26 inches long and the combined blade & handle is 29 inches. Engraved âeoefaintlyâe on the face of the blade is âeoeestablished 1840 Henry Disston & Sons D8 Philadelphiaâe among an image of a balance scale. T is also a part of an inscription âeoeFor Beauty Finishingâe¦..the saw can notâe¦..(signed) Henry Disstonâe. I am unable to make out anymore of the message. The teeth seem to be in good shape.
