. Up For Sale Is This HERALDIC ART MEDAL, It isnumber 19 in Bob MacNamara's classic "So Called Half Dollar" series. This was issued in 1965 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Saint Augustine, Florida, the oldest permanent settlement in America. It is graded and encapsulated by NGC as an MS-68. It is an absolute monster gem with a silvery flash, superb strike and pristine surfaces. The scarcity of these medals is well documented, the declared mintage's were in the 6,000 range. The melt offs of the late 1970's and today have reduced the numbers available to collectors to fewer than 1,500. The value and up side potential is substantial; this example is valued from $85.00 to $100.00. A copy of the original marketing material will accompany this medal.
