A Retro 1960s Black Anglepoise 1227 Desk Lamp made by Herbert Terry & Sons of Redditch. This is the early and much sought after rolled edge shade and double stepped base model. Marked on the base. This design of lamp was made for over 30 years from c.1940-1970 this one I believe would date to c.1960Measurements - (approx) - 35“ high extended.Condition - There is wear and scuffing to the paintwork all over consummate with age and use. It has had the flex replaced and when fully extended the lamp slowly starts to point down, may need some adjustment on the springs. This does not happen when the arm is in the bent position. The lamp is in full electrical working order. This lovely original retro lamp that would adorn any desk. My poor photography skills really do not do this item justice.
