As usual, we offer each week a varied selection from our stock which includes the fruits of more than 40 years of searching and collecting!. Vintage antique marble base desk top pen stand, with an advertising trademark figure for Hercules Portland Cement , being the mythological muscle strongman himself. The base is green marble and measures 4½ by 7 inches, a scant 1 inch thick. The figure is about 3 inches high and appears to be an silver colored base metal alloy with black cold enamel paint. Incised on the base are "Hercules Portland Cement" and "Trowlite Cement for Masonry Mortar". The pen holder is Bakelite with brass ball joint fitting and decorative ring. Appears to be in very good condition, no chips or cracks, moderate wear to felt bottom.
