nd HUNGARIAN ND ROTHSCHILD BIRD FINIAL TUREEN IN MINT CONDITION WITH NO RESERVE You are bidding on one lidded tureen . A beautiful addition to any collection. Low starting bid with no reserve! § Approximately 3.75 inches tall to top of finial, 5.5 inches in length, 3.75 inches wide at widest point § Handmade & handpainted § Bird finial on lid and with twig handles § The pattern is highly desirable ROTHSCHILD bird § Has beautiful 24K gold gold trim § Numbered: 6017 / RO, 113-A § Mint condition: no chips, scratches, repairs or cracks § Stamped with nd mark § Made in nd, Hungary The pattern was first created for the Baron de Rothschild family in 1860. It features multiple designs of birds and butterflies with an embossed basketweave border and gold trim. The motifs represent a story from the 1800's about the Baroness Rothschild. She noticed her pearl necklace was missing after being in the garden of her home in Vienna. It was found several days later when the gardener saw birds playing with it in a tree. The necklace is an integral part of the design. This is an excellent opportunity to add to your nd collection!
