Description is created by Andreas Glaesel "Bommel" Coloured copper engraving, Hogenberg's Geschichtsblätter about 1600. Measures circa 22 x 31 cm (sheet), 21 x 27,5 cm (view). With engraved text in German. "Bommel ein stat starck in Gellerlandt Ligt up dem Weert ist wol bekandt..." Shows the battle in Bommel (near Utrecht). Slight browning, several tears in the margin reared with paper, some paper-thinnings in the image (one with small loss of view). T are a lot more Hogenberg engravings in our other auctions !
