In 1935 the Milwaukee Road introduced the Hiawatha trains for service between Chicago and the Twin Cities. Later other Hiawatha trains were put into service to Seattle/Tacoma and it still exists under Amtrak. This striking design symbolized the speed and art deco elegance in these trains that exceeded 100 mph. It captures a glorious image of the our railroad past. The emblem was widely used in Milwaukee Road's advertising and this sticker was probably intended for use on the side of car. We've mounted this on acid free paper & canvas suitable for framing. The size is 35" top to bottom, 35" finger tip to toe, and diameter of the oval 21 1/4. This is an amazing collectible and certainly will enhance any rail buff's display!
