This is a spooner or sugar by J. B. Higbee Glass Co of Bridgeville, Penn. This piece is marked with the "Bee" with the initials "H I G" on the wings and rear of the bee - the mark is relatively light but can be readily seen at an angle. I believe this is the Thistle pattern but I been unable to find it in any of the few books I have available. It appears to be in excellent condition although t is a little roughness on a small edge on the bottom - t are four feet and four small protusions and the roughness is on one of the protusions - This could be from the mold. I am also including another Higbee piece FREE - this is a cup with an old American design and the full bee with letters boldly stamped in the center of it - this cup does have some damage on the bottom of it but remember, it is free. Please ask any questions you may have before you bid. Thank you for looking.
