This highly individual piece would provide a talking point at any dinner table! It is also very decorative and looks wonderful as a display piece. By the world renowned designer Borek (Boris) Sipek who since 1989 has divided his time between The Netherlands and his beloved Prague, his birthplace. He designed this carafe and cooler which was produced by the Dutch glass company DSM. He has also designed for Leerdam and, in fact, this carafe is in Leerdam's renowned "annagroene" - a delicate shade of green. In handblown, fine glass with a most attractive optical effect, the carafe safely balances at any chosen angle within the heavy, pressed glass cooler. Prior to use, the base is placed in the fridge or freezer and is then ready to keep the wine cool. Impressed signature to cooler base. Carafe 27cm ( 10.5") height. Cooler 7.5cm ( 3") height. 20cm (8) diameter. Perfect condition.
